What to know before you apply.

How long does the interview process at MagicSchool take?

Our interview process is designed to be thoughtful and respectful of your time. Most roles move from first conversation to final decision within about 45 days, though timing can vary slightly depending on the role and scheduling.

Start dates vary by role, but we aim to be as flexible as possible. We’ll work with you to find a timeline that allows for a smooth transition while meeting team needs.

When does insurance start?

Insurance starts the first of the month following your start date. We’ll walk you through all the details during the offer stage so you know exactly what to expect.

How does the team stay connected as a remote company?

As a remote-first team, we stay in close touch through Slack, regular team meetings, and thoughtful async communication. We prioritize clarity, collaboration, and making sure everyone feels supported in their work.

Do I need experience in education to apply?

Not necessarily. While many of our team members come from education, we also have people from a range of backgrounds. We look for a genuine interest in supporting educators and students, and a willingness to learn.
