This past year showed us how quickly teaching and learning are changing. AI in education is opening new possibilities in classrooms, and educators are working hard to understand what it can offer while keeping students safe and supported.

Across the country, schools are asking for the same things. Teachers want workflows that fit the realities of their day and help them be more present with students. Students need guided, safe access to AI education tools that help them build skills and confidence. Districts need trusted controls and a clear way to connect AI to their own knowledge and systems.

As Sarah Collins, Director of Professional Learning at Midway ISD, put it, “We didn’t want a piecemeal adoption or unsafe experimentation. We needed a unified, secure, and effective solution. We knew AI wasn’t going away. We also knew how we introduced it would determine its impact.”

The feedback we hear from leaders, teachers, and parents is guiding our next chapter, helping us build the most intuitive AI Operating System for Schools.

Streamlining workflows with AI for educators

Teachers tell us about evenings spent juggling tasks, tabs, and documents just to feel ready for the next day. But imagine a unified AI tool for educators, where everything you do for your students lives together. From planning and communication to differentiation and assessment, it all comes together in a workspace that feels intuitive and connected.

Now picture asking an AI assistant that understands your district’s expectations, your curriculum, and your classroom context. It helps you level a text, design a rubric, or tailor a lesson. Not as a one-off tool, but as part of a system that learns what you need and surfaces it at the right moment.

These are the kinds of moments we’re working toward, where technology fades into the background and, by leveraging AI tools for education, teachers have more time for joyful teaching and meaningful connection with students.

Supporting students with AI education tools

Students are growing up in a world with more information and noise than ever. Technology should help them think more deeply and critically, not pull their attention away from learning. When used this way, everyday classroom interactions become building blocks for AI literacy, helping students engage with AI thoughtfully and with purpose.

This year, MagicStudent has been used by millions of students, growing over 300 percent year over year in Student Rooms.

What stands out most is how students have chosen to use MagicStudent. They gravitated toward AI education tools that helped them explore ideas, spark creativity, and strengthen their writing. After using the writing coach to get feedback, one student recently shared, “I feel like a professional writer now, it sounds so good!”

That confidence matters. We’re designing AI tools for students to help build new skills without offloading their thinking or compromising safety and trust. Over time, this becomes a student workspace where AI guidance, teacher oversight, and individual needs come together to support growth.

AI for districts and schools

Districts are being asked to move quickly while staying true to their communities and values. Governance and clarity, built in from the start, help ensure AI education tools reflect district goals and operate within trusted boundaries.

In conversations with leaders, one theme comes up often: the responsibility for AI adoption can’t live with just one group. As Cari Wilson, Vice Principal of Innovation and Technology at West Vancouver Schools, explained to us, “AI literacy is essential for everyone, not just teachers. By hitting all positions, we aim to create a cohesive and informed community.”

This belief informs how we’re building MagicSchool. We’re laying the groundwork for a new AI layer that brings together district knowledge, systems, and priorities into a single, aligned experience across schools. It’s designed to give districts full control, using approved knowledge and data, with strong standards for privacy, safety, and quality built in.

Stepping into 2026 together

I’m grateful for every conversation and partnership that shaped our work this year. To our district partners and business partners, thank you for your insights and trust. You help us understand what schools truly need from new technology and encourage us to create with care and intention.

Through all the learning and change, our purpose hasn’t shifted. MagicSchool was created to support educators and students. Our belief that teachers are magic and our mission to unlock student potential still guide every choice we make.

We’re heading into 2026 with clarity and excitement. I’m proud of what we’ve built together, and I can’t wait to share what’s next.
