5-second summary

Explore recent updates, including Educational Song Generator, Studio Mode in Raina, enterprise branding, and improved safety workflows.

What we rolled out recently

This month’s updates give teachers more flexibility in how they create and refine content, while giving admins stronger tools to manage, monitor, and implement AI across their organizations.

Here’s what’s new. And keep reading below for all the details!

Educational Song Generator

What’s new

Bring your lessons to life in a whole new way. With the brand new Educational Song Generator, you can create fully produced, curriculum-aligned songs complete with lyrics, voice, and album art in under a minute.

Just choose your topic, grade level, and musical style, and MagicSchool will generate a song your students can listen to, learn from, and remember.

Why it matters

Music is one of the most powerful ways to make learning stick (remember Schoolhouse Rock, anyone?) The Educational Song Generator helps you turn everyday lessons into engaging, memorable experiences that help reinforce key concepts, support different learning styles, and bring more energy into your classroom, without adding extra prep time.

Studio Mode is now live in Raina

Studio Mode, our document-based editing experience, is now in Raina.

What’s new

With Studio Mode in Raina, teachers can:

  • Edit AI-generated content directly in a structured document
  • Make targeted changes without re-generating entire responses
  • Format, refine, and export polished materials in one place

This brings the same “stay in flow” experience teachers already use in other tools directly into Raina’s guided AI conversations.

Why you'll love it

Teachers told us they loved Raina’s guidance, but wanted more control once content was generated.

Studio Mode bridges that gap by:

  • Reducing copy-paste and app-hopping
  • Supporting higher-quality final outputs
  • Helping teachers move from idea to classroom-ready materials faster

It’s a small shift that makes a big difference in day-to-day workflow.

MagicQuizzes improvements

MagicQuizzes has always been about speed. Generate a quiz, assign it, and get instant insights. But as more teachers began using quizzes regularly, it became clear that speed alone isn’t enough. Teachers want more control.

With the latest updates in MagicQuizzes, we’ve introduced a set of upgrades that put teachers firmly in the driver’s seat so quizzes don’t just start fast, they finish strong.

Build quizzes your way

You’re no longer locked into the first version of a quiz.

  • Add your own questions directly into the quiz
  • Reorder questions (and answer choices) to improve flow
  • Regenerate a single question without affecting the rest

Whether you're fine-tuning for clarity, rigor, or pacing, you now have the flexibility to tailor each quiz to your needs.

Choose how students experience feedback

Not every quiz should work the same way, and now it doesn’t have to.

Teachers can now decide when students see feedback:

  • Per-question feedback for learning and practice
  • End-of-quiz feedback for more formal assessment

This turns one quiz into multiple instructional strategies without extra work.

Turn results into action

Previously, the quiz ended at the results page. Now, it’s just the beginning.

The new Next Steps section in the dashboard recommends relevant tools and student activities based on quiz performance. This helps you quickly decide what to do next, whether that’s reteaching, enrichment, or practice.

Why you'll love it

MagicQuizzes proved that teachers want fast, AI-powered assessments. Now, we’re making sure those assessments actually fit the classroom.

This update reduces the need for workarounds, saves time during editing, and helps teachers move seamlessly from quiz creation to delivery and instructional next steps. Great teaching doesn’t stop at the quiz. It starts with what comes after.

Exporting student threads

Teachers can now export student AI conversations, making it easier to review, share, and document student work.

What’s new

Educators can export student threads for:

  • Documentation and record-keeping
  • Sharing with administrators or families
  • Reviewing student thinking and progress over time

Why you'll love it

Student AI interactions are rich with insight, but until now, they’ve been harder to capture outside the platform.

This update helps teachers:

  • Make student learning more visible and portable
  • Support conversations around progress and growth
  • Bring AI-supported work into existing workflows

It’s a small unlock that makes a big difference for transparency and accountability.

Customizations for Enterprise: Upload your district logo

Enterprise partners can now upload their district or school logo into MagicSchool, creating a more customized and trusted experience for users.

What’s new

Org Admins can:

  • Upload and apply a district or school logo
  • Reflect their branding across the MagicSchool experience

Why you'll love it

Trust plays an important role in AI adoption, especially at the district level.

Custom branding helps:

  • Reinforce that MagicSchool is an approved, district-supported tool
  • Increase teacher confidence and adoption
  • Create a more cohesive, professional experience

For many districts, this is a simple but meaningful step toward scaling AI responsibly.

Improved grade-level alignment for AI responses

We’ve improved how MagicSchool aligns AI outputs to the grade level set by the teacher, across both student and teacher experiences.

What’s new

Updates to our system instructions now ensure that:

  • AI-generated content more closely matches the selected grade level
  • Responses are more appropriate in tone, complexity, and vocabulary

Why you'll love it

Teachers rely on AI to meet students where they are, not where the model defaults.

With stronger grade-level alignment:

  • Content is more instructionally appropriate
  • Teachers spend less time adjusting outputs
  • Students receive responses that better match their needs

It’s a foundational improvement that enhances quality across the platform.

Admin email alerts now link directly to flagged messages

We’ve fixed one of the most common points of friction in advanced moderation workflows.

What’s new

When admins receive high-risk email alerts, they're now taken directly to the flagged message thread instead of a general room list.

We’ve also improved internal logging to support clearer audit trails of message reviews.

Why you'll love it

When something requires attention, you need to see it and act on it quickly.

This update helps admins:

  • Take immediate, informed action
  • Reduce time spent searching for the right context
  • Feel more confident in moderation workflows

It’s a targeted fix that significantly improves a high-impact experience.

What's next

This update focused on:

  • Giving teachers more control over how they create and refine content
  • Making student learning more visible and shareable
  • Helping districts build trust and consistency
  • Improving the speed and clarity of admin workflows

As always, these updates are shaped directly by feedback from educators and school leaders, and there’s more on the way.

We’ll be back next month with what’s new at MagicSchool. In the meantime, log in now to explore these updates.
